The Old Town Community Church statement of faith and vision for life

1) We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and we believe that is it applicable to our lives.  2 Timothy 3:16

2) We believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that He died for our sins and rose again to give us new life. John 3:16, Colossians 1:12-14

3) We believe that salvation is available for everyone who believes in Christ, turns away from doing wrong things and exchanges their old way life for the new life Christ offers. John 3:16

4) We believe in the reality of heaven and the sovereignty of God but also the existence of the Devil and hell.  Matthew 4:1-11

5) We practice baptism by immersion in water for believers in Jesus Christ. Matthew 3:16 & 17 and Matthew 28:19

6) We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit and in the filling of the spirit to help us become more like Christ. Acts 2:17-18 & 38

7) We believe that the Gifts of the Spirit are for us to use today. 1 Corinthians ch. 12-13

8) We believe that Jesus Christ  is the example of how we should live. Ephesians 5:1&2, Galatians 2:20

9) We believe that we are to try to live holy lives. Romans 12: 1&2, 1 Peter 12:1-2.

10) We believe that our commission is to bring the kingdom of God to earth by the way we live; loving those around us and bringing His salvation to all those who will accept it. Matthew 28:19-20, 2 Corinthians 5:17-20
